NextStop - NYC Subway App Reviews

If you want something that will count down from 10 minutes second-by-second this is the app for you. If you want something that will reliably predict when a train will arrive this is not that app.

I used to love Next Stop, but something is terribly wrong- for the past two weeks, every single time I try to open it, it crashes. My updates are current, Ive tried closing both the app and my iPhone, but it makes no difference- I get kicked out. Please advise; I need for this app to work, thanks! If resolved, Id give you five stars, but I cant even get in.

Did you guys forget you have this app? No updates in a long time to address the constant crashing. I cant even use it anymore!

First time I installed it, it worked on the phone but not in the Watch. I wrote customer service and they wrote me back right away. Very helpful suggestions and it now works great. (Just had to delete from phone and reinstall it)

Just purchased this and tried for the first time for 7 train at Queensboro plaza and train arrival time wasnt right at all

Ive had this app since my iPhone 4 (currently have a 6) and its a shame that Ive just gotten around to review this awesome app. I look like a wizard whenever Im with someone and I can predict when the train is coming because of this app. Arrival times are 95% accurate which is very impressive given how inconsistent the subways are. Highly recommend!

The map and schedules app need to be updated to include the J serving Broad St and Fulton St full-time. Otherwise, the app is very good.

I bought this app because I thought it would be useful to have the arrival time for my train ahead of time. It was a waste of money. First, this app is often inaccurate. Second, the nyc subway app (which is free) also gives the arrival times for trains. It is also more accurate and will allow you to see the arrival times for all trains at a particular station as well as get directions from a station to your final destination. This app only shows you the arrival time for the next train and only one train line at a time. If youre at Times Square and want to take the next train out, you have to pick the train line and then Times Square to see the arrival time and then repeat the process for each train. On the other hand, the free nyc subway app will show you all the trains at Times Square and all the arrival times on one screen which makes it soooo much easier to figure out which train to take. Bottom line, save your money and get the free (better) app.

Doesnt update the lines claiming to be real time with any accuracy

Great app. It even works underground! So you dont need wi-fi in order for it to work. Best train app ever!!! You will never need another!! All NYC boroughs!!!!

The 7 train now goes to 34th and 11th avenue and it is not updated on the app. Also, maybe add a station to station travel option so people can know how long it will take to get to and from. Otherwise, it is very helpful and mostly accurate

Can you please add the new 34th steer station. Its had been opened since September 13 , 2015

This app works great. Iive been using it since I had the iPhone 4.

I think people who are writing these reviews need to be educated as to why we dont yet have time clocks on the letter trains. Generally, off peak hours - MTAs schedule is correct for lettered trains except L and including 7 when in good service. This app should update for Hudson Yards (was about to give a 4 rating for that but want to counterbalance all of the low ratings that are clueless as to the issues regarding subway time clocks) but for the most part its a good app. Forgot what I paid for it. Subway time does not have time tables for the lettered trains and this app does

Its a cool app, but it needs wait time info for for the train after next. I.E. Lets say its 3 minutes until the next train. But 3 minutes isnt enough time for me to get to the station. With this app, I have no idea for the train after that — that is to say, no idea about the FIRST train Ill actually be able to catch. I have to wait 3 MINUTES while the timer counts down, until i can see a display of how long Ill need to wait for the subsequent train. Is it 5 minutes? 10? 25? This can be a really big deal. Until I have that info… two stars.

But its not amazing. Pathetically has not yet added Hudson Yards station to the 7 Train line. Like they have 1 job hahaha. Good for updates on delays and changed though. Not sure how much it is but if only $0.99 quit crying.
